Lotte Skyhill Jeju Country Club (Hill & Forest Course)
Seogwipo-si Jeju-do South Korea

On the famed honeymoon island of Jeju, Robert Trent Jones II’s 36-hole Lotte Skyhill Jeju Country Club occupies one of the most serene and picturesque settings in all of South Korea, and one that’s perfect for golf. To the south lie the emerald waters beyond Seguipo Beach, while to the west the peak of Mt. Sambang, with its famous temple caves, often sits shrouded in mist. This idyllic setting is tailor-made for golf enthusiasts, offering a harmonious blend of natural beauty and the perfect golfing experience.
The very names of the four nine-hole configurations at Skyhill Jeju evoke RTJ II’s commitment to melding our golf courses with their natural settings: the Sky, Hill, Forest, and Ocean nines blend with the landscape and provide limitless strategic choices. Individual holes feature ancient rock formations and historic stone walls lining dry streambeds. Describing the project, Robert Trent Jones, Jr. says, “During construction we found granite and living rock that are unique Jeju elements, and we enjoyed using them to create the artistic and functional character of Skyhill Jeju Country Club.”
Both eighteen-hole course layouts stretch over 7,200 yards, promising a challenging and rewarding game for golfers of all levels.
In 2006, the readers of Asian Golf Monthly voted Robert Trent Jones II the Best Course Architect in Asia. Skyhill Jeju is one of more than 80 well-crafted and environmentally responsible courses that RTJ II has created in the region. Making it a landmark destination for golfers seeking not only a challenging game but also a connection with the breathtaking natural beauty of Jeju Island.
