Antognolla Golf set to become leading European destination
Italian resort Antognolla Golf has announced a strategic partnership that aims to transcend it into one of Europe’s elite destinations.
Regarded as one of the continent’s most challenging golf experiences, Antognolla has joined forces with Performance54.
The industry leader in sports advisory and strategy will take control of Antognolla’s social media and global communication efforts.
In a bid to promote the resort’s 500 hectares of breathtaking landscape, Performance54 will showcase Antognolla’s outstanding amenities and stunning golf.
Sat in the foothills of the Umbrian countryside, bordering Tuscany and Lazio, the 18-hole course is one of Italy’s best-kept secrets.
The Robert Trent Jones Jr. design was named ‘Italy’s Best Golf Course’ at the 2020 and 2022 World Golf Awards, following multi-million-euro renovations.
With bumpy greens, cliff-lined fairways and striking water hazards, it’s clear that Antognolla is an exciting course for global visitors.
As part of the investment, all bunkers were renovated, with irrigation and drainage systems installed, while the club has a championship pedigree.
It hosted the Italian PGA in 2019 and 2021, and the International Alps Tour event in 2021.
The resort’s historic castle and estate are also set to transform into a leading luxury resort and residential community.
Scott Peddie, Executive Director, Performance54, added: “Antognolla Golf is set to become one of the most coveted experiences in European golf today.
Peddie claims that the prestigious golf course and equally stunning setting will provide Performance54’s specialists with ‘ample ammunition’ to tell Antognolla’s story.
He said: “We have no doubt it is going to be one they are totally captivated by in the months and years to come.”
A round of 18 holes starts from €85, while reduced green fees are offered to younger golfers.
